Weekends are subject to a min 2 night stay
Christmas, New Year & Bank Hols are subject to a min 3 night stay
Please enquire if you have single night stay requirements


10% reduction for non-refundable bookings
4 or more nights 5%
Discounts do not apply to Bank Holiday or New Year periods
Please ask for a quote if your planned stay includes part of a Bank Holiday period.

Your room will be available after 4pm. Your check in time will be from 4 until 7pm ; We do not admit arrivals after 9.00pm and reserve the right to cancel a booking or refuse admittance based on late check in outside of our usual times.

You are generally welcome to come and park should you wish to arrive earlier than 4pm as long as you let us know in advance.  We send a text usually a couple of days before your arrival to check what time you are likely to reach us and to make sure you have contact details for us on your day of travel. We ask that if you are arriving earlier than your check in times that you let us know and we can make arrangements should we be out.

We ask your approximate arrival time when you book and ask for a mobile number in case of any unexpected problems on the day of your arrival.

Check-out time is 10.30am

To reserve a room we ask that you provide us with credit or debit card details (type, number, expiry date, issue number or valid from date, and the last three digits shown on the signature strip).

Please note a deposit equal to your first night’s stay is payable at the time of booking if not making a non-refundable booking where full payment is required at time of booking.

The cards we are able to take are Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Solo, JCB or Maestro. Card details are held as surety and will be used for non-arrival or cancellation at short notice as outlined in our cancellation policy below.


Any outstanding balance from your bill will either be taken from the card used originally to book with us on your arrival or as cash.  If you wish to use a different card please tell us on your arrival and supply us with full details, as all payments at the Guest House is via sage pay on line through computer. We can also supply a payment link via email either before or during your stay.

All tariff prices quoted are per person in a room with an en-suite shower/bathroom and includes your choice from our breakfast menu.

We are sorry but we unable to cater for those under the age of 18 years.

We are pet free except for Guide or Hearing Dogs. Please let us know if you are bringing them when you make your booking.

If the specific room reserved is rendered unusable through circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to transfer the booking to another room. In the unlikely event of us being unable to offer you an alternative room at Langdale View we will make all reasonable attempts to find you similar accommodation elsewhere.

Langdale View and its grounds  are  No Smoking and bookings are only accepted on this basis. We reserve the right to ask guests to leave if we feel they have smoked in the room and an extra charge will be made to your account to cover the cost of cleaning.

Where 14 days or more notice (28 days at Christmas and  New Year) is given, your deposit will be refunded minus a £25.00 cancellation charge to cover card transaction costs and administration fees.

Where less than 14 days notice (28 days at Christmas and New Year) is given and we are unable to re let the room for any of the cancelled dates, the card provided will be charged the full amount for those dates left unlet.

If all or part of the stay is cancelled after arrival the full cost of the stay will remain payable on departure.

We advise that you take out cancellation insurance, which is inexpensive and can be obtained from any good broker.
